Expect to pay between $140 and $195 USD per person depending on the operator, group size, and what is bundled in. For reference: Playa Scuba $140; Xico ~$162; Phantom Divers ~$195 (3,560 MXN) w/ no-shark partial refund.

Plan for 3-4 hours. Times vary slightly by operator and pickup location, and hotel pickup adds transfer time at each end.

This is a seasonal experience: Nov-Mar (peak Dec-Feb). Outside that window operators either do not run it or substitute a different itinerary, so check dates before you book flights around it.

It leans adventurous — expect to get wet, muddy, or your heart rate up. Reasonable fitness is enough; no special skills required.

Bring your certification card if you have one, swimwear, and a towel — all dive gear is included in the price.

Dives cancel only when the harbormaster closes the port; cenote dives run rain or shine since they are fed by groundwater.

This is one of the highest-demand experiences in the area — in high season (December–April and July–August) the good operators sell out days ahead, so book as soon as your dates are fixed.

Many operators include round-trip transport from Playa del Carmen hotels or a central meeting point on 5th Avenue; others charge a small supplement or are self-drive. We confirm pickup details with your booking request before you pay anything.
